Getting to Fowey by car
Westbound by car - From the M5, there are two roads that lead directly to Cornwall, the A30 and A38.
Fowey from the A30:
Leave on exit to Bodmin and follow signs to Lostwithiel and the B3268 / B3269
Take the B3269 until t-junction with A390.
Turn right onto A390 and follow signs to Fowey
Take left onto B3269 after half a mile
After six miles go straight across mini-roundabout and follow Polvillion Road to Fowey.
Fowey from the A38:
From Dobwalls takes A390 which is signposted to St Ausell.
After Lostwithiel turn left onto B3269
to Fowey.
Eastbound by car
Follow signs to St Austell and take A3290
Leave A390
at roudabout and take junction for A3082
Stay on road through Par following signs to Fowey
Take last exit on mini-roundabout signposted Fowey.
Getting to Fowey by train
First Great Western, Virgin and Wessex Trains provide services to Cornwall from most of the major UK train terminals, including Paddington, Birmingham and Edinburgh. Par and St Austell are the closest stations, both with the First bus number 25 that goes directly to Fowey.

Fowey bus services
The number 25 bus services runs daily between Fowey, Par and St. Austell. Other Cornwall destinations can be reached from St.Austell.
Operating times: Last service is at 11.04pm
The local Fowey bus service runs every 15 minutes from outside Fowey Parish Church to Hanson drive.
Operating times: 10.00am - 7.00pm
Fowey ferries
There are two ferries operating in Fowey which run regular services to Polruan and Bodinnick.
Fowey to Polruan Ferry
Intended for foot passengers and cyclists, the Fowey to Polruan service runs every 15 minutes, leaving
from the Town Quay and Whitehouse slips. The Ferry runs from the Whitehouse Slip until 6.30pm, after which Town Quay is used. This is reversed during the Winter months. Services run continuously from Monday to Sunday.

Fowey to Bodinnick Ferry
The Bodinnick Ferry is for cars, bikes and foot passengers and operates just outside Fowey.

The passenger ferry to Mevagissey runs daily from 25th April through September, weather and sea conditions permitting. The journey takes 35-40 minutes. The ferry is by far the best way to visit the historic fishing village of Mevagissey and is also an ideal way to visit the Lost Gardens of Heligan which are a pleasant 45 min walk or a short bus ride from Mevagissey. A return trip costs £12 for adults and £6 for children. Dogs are carried free of charge. The ferry operates to a regular timetable (from TIC or on the excellent ferry website – www.mevagissey-ferries.co.uk.
Any cancellations due to weather are announced on the travel bulletins on BBC Radio Cornwall at 25 and 55 past each hour in the mornings. There is a mobile phone on the boat - 07977 203394.
